Healthy Snacks - ActiFry

So hopefully everyone's in the full swing of the New Year New Me lifestyle and got off to a kick-start!

Below are some energy giving, metabolism boosting snack ideas! I made these using the Tefal Actifry, and i have to say i was impressed!

I began with Kale chips and then went onto attempting some Almond & Cranberry granola.

ALMOND & CRANBERRY GRANOLA

Ingredients;
  • 1/2 Tefal Actifry spoonful Coconut or Olive oil (i used coconut oil)
  • 1/2 cup cranberries (or any fruits of your choice)
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (or more to your taste)
  • 1/2 cup almonds (or any nuts of your choice)
  • 3 tbsp golden linseeds
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
Method;
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
  • Place in the Actifryer for approximately 8 - 10 minutes. 
  • Note : It is advisable to add the cranberries/dried fruits in at the final minute

Voila! Scrumptious home-made healthy granola.  Enjoy with almond milk, yogurt or on its own as a snack!






KALE CHIPS

Ingredients;
  • Full kale leaves
  • Himalyan pink salt (to taste)
  • Paprika (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • FryLight olive oil spray 
Method;
  • Wash the leaves and allow to air.  
  • Massage the olive oil onto the leaves
  • Add the paprika, pepper and salt (or any seasoning of your choice)
  • Place in the Actifry for 5 - 7 minutes until leaves become crisp  

Add further seasoning if required and store in an airtight container or snack immediately!
