Having stayed at many hotels around the world, The InterContinental Carlton Cannes is special.
Why? Because not only is this the go to hotel for A list Hollywood celebrities at The Cannes Film Festival every year, but has also been featured in many Hollywood films and music videos.
The historical hotel (built in 1911!) is right in the middle of the Boulevard De La Croisette (the main strip in Cannes) and overlooks the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Just take a short walk across the street and you are at the Beach, how perfect!
Hotel rooms are lovely and elegant and are decorated with pictures of film stars on the red carpet from previous Film Festivals, which is a nice touch and makes it feel that much more glamorous!
Whether you decide to stay here or not, the hotel is a must see for anyone visiting. Just walk onto the opposite side of the hotel to really take in the historical facade and the hotel in all its glory.
The food at the hotel and beach is amazing but just a short walk outside onto the strip and you will find many more restaurants with great food.
The location of the hotel is also great for shopping and getting to the local Cannes train station and Port de Cannes, where boat companies regularly have day trips to Monaco and St Tropez.
